Moderators vs Developers vs Builders: what to choose

Moderators

Staff that moderate the Minecraft and Discord server are called Moderators. They take action against rule violations (banning members for promotion, being racist, sending NSFW content, etc) and they have the permission to ban and IP ban, mute, kick, or even warn members in the Discord server or players in the Minecraft server. They are expected to have a good moderation experience if they moderate the Discord server. They are not expected to have any coding knowledge. If they do, they will be able to apply to become a developer, and they’ll recieve the Admin rank in the Minecraft and Discord server. Nevertheless, it will be hard for the application to be accepted.

Developers

On the other hand, staff that have console access, modify plugins, have good PocketMine API knowledge and make plugins, are called Developers. However, they are not able to use the /op command because it has been disabled by me since people were abusing it. They are expected to have good knowledge with the language they code in and are expected to have good trust of the owner (Robert AKA Villager Boy). They are not expected to have any moderation knowledge. If they do, they will be able to apply to become a moderator, and they’ll recieve the Admin rank in the Minecraft and Discord server. Nevertheless, it will be hard for the application to be accepted.

Builders

Those that have access to MagicWE commands and gamemode commands, go by the name of Builders. As the name suggests, builders have all the necessary commands to make new in-game maps or lobbies. They are expected to know how to design well according to the style we choose. These styles could range from a simple flat map with some NPCs, such as the rank shop, to very detailed builds such as our current lobby.

Requirements

To have a chance to get accepted and to not make your application automatically fail, you need to follow a few rules:

  • You need a Discord account: if this is not possible, I won’t be able to communicate with you, or organise when you’ll be online, what you’re supposed to do, etc…you need to be in the Discord server as well.
  • [OBSOLETE] You shouldn’t have the BEGGER rank: Obviously, I don’t want anyone with the Begger rank as staff in my server, or they’ll just be useless and then end up raging in a beef with me as soon as I demote them once. Just to let you know what the Begger rank is, it’s a rank that I use to distinguish people that beg from actual players.
    • UPDATE: the Begger rank is not given anymore. They get straight-up banned for begging.
  • You should make sure to follow the rules: What I mean is that, as a member, you should always follow the rules, or you won’t get any staff rank. People with the Begger will be banned every month. You also need to know how to speak English well, because it’s the primary language of the server.
